In August 2023, I completed this 30’ x 11’ mural on the facade of Creative World Art Center in Arcadia, CA. The art center is a place where children participate in art classes to explore the creative process through an array of artistic mediums including printmaking, sculpture, painting, fiber arts, installation, and more. I wanted the design to reflect this explosion of imagination, with stylized creatures that flow whimsically towards the entrance of the building. I also illustrated plants and animals of the local lansdscape, with seagulls, grasshoppers, toads, and acorns from oak trees.
