My first love in life is drawing and a close second is the natural world. These passionate interests comingle in my creation of nature-focused paintings, murals, and fiber art practice with natural dyes. I was raised and still live near the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California - a landscape I am deeply inspired by. I am captivated with learning more about the enduring relationships between people and plants throughout history to present day. The colors in my woven and quilted fiber artworks are the expression of dyes from my local landscape, as well as traditional dyes from across the globe. Alongside my art practice, I work as an educator, teaching classes on illustration and natural dye techniques with children and adults.
I’m open for client work, commissions, licensing, and
teaching opportunities. Let’s connect!
