I love to draw and explore the biodiversity of the natural world. These passions comingle and inspire my nature-focused paintings, public art, and fiber works colored with natural dyes. I specialize in creating vibrant illustrations of plants and animals and have worked with many wonderful environmental organizations to bring their messages to life. Alongside art making, I facilitate workshops on topics of illustration and natural dye techniques for both children and adults, incorporating education about the local ecology of Southern California.
I was raised in the San Gabriel Valley near Los Angeles, CA and continue to call this area home. It is a landscape I am deeply inspired by and ever curious about. My artwork delves into the often overlooked stories of the ecology and history intertwined within the urban sprawl. I currently live near the San Gabriel Mountains in Ontario, CA with my husband, daughter, and two cats.
I am available for commissions and collaborations
